If you haven't subscribed by the end of your trial, your account enters a read-only state. Your data is preserved for 30 days so you can export it or subscribe to regain full access. We'll never delete your data without warning.

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account settings. When upgrading, you'll be prorated for the remainder of your billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) through Stripe. All payments are processed securely — we never store your card details.

We offer a 14-day free trial on all plans with full access to every feature. No credit card required to start. After the trial, the Hobbyist plan starts at just $20/month.

A user is anyone with login credentials to your workspace. Each user gets their own role (Director, Supervisor, or Grower) with granular permissions. The Hobbyist plan includes 1 user, Lab includes up to 5, and Institution is unlimited.

Monthly subscriptions can be canceled at any time and you will retain access until the end of your billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time on monthly plans. Annual plans may be eligible for a prorated refund within the first 30 days. See our Refund Policy for details.

Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation. During this period, you can reactivate your subscription to regain full access, or contact support to request a data export. After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted.

Yes! The Seller Program is available on all plans — including Hobbyist. Once approved, you can publish and sell your Standard Operating Procedures to other specimenOS users. Many hobbyists earn enough from SOP sales to cover their subscription and then some.
